Tuition Reimbursement:
Highlands Regional offers tuition reimbursement for job- related courses to all employees, regardless of job classification.
Continuing Education (CEUs):
HRMC is a provider of CEUs under the State of Florida provisions. In conjunction with other HMA Facilities we offer frequent programs on a wide variety of topics. There is no charge for any CEU program for our employees.
Mandatory In-service Requirements/Meetings:
Educational programs that are required by regulatory agencies are paid. Our participative management and continuous performance improvement focus enable the staff to be involved with performance improvement teams as part of their daily routine.
Nursing Orientation:
A nursing orientation program is provided to each employee. The duration of orientation programs is based on department, competency requirements, and demonstrated skill levels.
Staff Education:
Assisting Goodness is to Become Greatness
Staff education is organized within the Nursing Department. The Director of Clinical Support serves the nursing staff as teacher, facilitator and resource person.
At Highlands Regional we understand that nursing is continuing to expand as a profession, and we are committed to providing ongoing educational programs that allow nurses to accomplish their individual career objectives.
Numerous seminars, workshops and in-service programs on a variety of patient care issues are offered by Highlands Regional to further enhance the quality of care our nursing staff provides to our patients.
Staff Education at Highlands Regional is committed to the total process of formal and informal teaching of our nursing staff.
